Bless

The day she gone..was the day that i started blessing her... with my sincere heart and thought...

Unable to have her as companion isn't mean the end the world to me but it was a new beginning to me...

Wishing and blessing her.. i remember an old friend of mine told me so...not having and letting her free are a kind of care and bless...

How true it is? Nobody know it, but i still believe it...

MAY YOU HAVE A BETTER LIFE....WISH YOU ALL THE BEST...

Martial Art Versus Self Defense

I've been learning, understanding and practising Korean's martial art - Taekwondo for the past 23 years and today i still trying to figure out the in-depth and specialness of this martial art. To extend my knowledge, i even study and understand other martial art. Still a long way to go that's what i can say. What i want to focus in this topic is all about Taekwondo training and comparison with self defense in street fight.

Basically, in Taekwondo, we keep on practising Taegeuk (Pattern - combination steps of form), drilling (punching and kicking), one-step sparring or three-steps sparring (self-defense - counter attack) and free-style sparring (fight training) based on Taekwondo ways and not Ultraman style. We need to understand the basic and master the basic knowledge in a very details manner. To enjoy the fruitful day, hardship and endurance are needed. In our everyday training, most Instructors would emphasize the techniques - how to maximize the power in our delivered punch or kick, the importance of waist power and momentum power. However, most of them only trains their disciples or students just in sport aspect and not really for life figthing. But one will understands, once they reached the mature state of martial art. They will know how to react and what to do though they are in a frightening condition. To my extend of knowledge, why the instructors never teach their students so in the first place. The main reason is state of maturity of each student is different. They might apply the knowledge and skill when fighting with sibling or friends which may caused injury or even death. That's why to keep away from such problem, never educate them with such extreme skill or knowledge is the best.

Can we use any martial art we learned for street figthing or street self defense? Definately we do, but we need to do it in abit dirty way or harsh way. NO MORE MR GENTLEMAN. For instance, in martial art sparring, they will be a referee, thus we can't do anything to violate the rules or else we will penalize - so we need to bow with our opponent and wait for the signal FIGHT!!! In street fight, we don't do bowing to anyone, no referee and your opponent might having weapon such as knife, machete or even gun. So, do we need to be gentleman. NAH!!! No way we would. The only thing we bare in mind in street fight or being attack is our own safetiness. Many students or even friends who have asked me this question. What would you do if someone attacked you using a weapon? Simple, just react according to your self confident, if you judged that you have the chance of securing or worth to fight back.  Then go ahead, else surrender the money as your assailant requested. Please bare in mind, in street fight, we never think of winning but securing.

Hence, there are many different between martial art and self defense in real life. But somehow street fighting skills are much more direct, simple and fast result respond.

Martial Art's Self Defense                              VS                              Street Fight's Self Defense

Some techniques are just for display and not radical                                         All techniques are simple and direct to vital

You easily prevent death but might injure                                               You will die, if lucky you walked away with injury

Fight for pride or fame                                                                                     Fight for live

Fight with rules and referee                                                            No rules and the God is your referee

(to determine you alive or death)

Full protective gear                                                         Your shirt and pant are your only proctective gear

even worst if you are bathing

NO DIRTY TRICKS                                                                      JUST DO WHATEVER YOU DEEMED FIT

No weapon                                                                              Grab whatever you can reached at

Sportsmanship

I might not a genuine sportsmanship but at least i know i'm trying to be one. I'm just trying to do my very best in whatever sport i play. I was not born talented in sport. My family background quite weak in sport but at least i'm abit outstanding from them. I try to play good games and enjoy the moment with my friends. A talented sportsman can easily spotted when you see them in a game. You can see their reflexes action or response towards the game is quite different from a normal person. Yet, a talented sportsman without hardship will never shine. Those who endure hardship during training and put more heart into the game will mostly improve more because of their passion.

I know i'm not a good sportsman, i considered myself as a slow learner as my reflexes and mentality are slower then some people. A very solid proof i have for myself is the sport that i love and endured most - TAEKWONDO. I learned taekwondo since i was 8. When come to training, my Master and other seniors always said that i'm dreaming in the class. I just keep quite as i was very innocence during that time. I just took whatever they said. At age mid of 13, i stopped my training for one and a half years as i lost my passion and interest since i always got scolded for my playfulness. When i was 15, i got back my interest as my friends seduced (sorry i don't used the word encourage as my friend really seduce me with that) me using black belt promotion test as my target. I trained hard for about 3-6months, then i was promoted to 1st Dan Black belt. At that moment, my reflexes still slow compare to others. I started from the basic again and try to improve step by step. I still remember i started to join competitions when i was 16 and my top form fall on age 17. I was a good loser back then (age 16) till a sparring competition (age 17), i became bad winner. I won an event (sparring) almost considered single sided (my opponent has the size and height of me, but he was brown belt holder who won a black belt holder before facing me). Why a bad winner? Is because of attitude problem, i did fought honestly and fairly but i looked down at him as if he no one ( i did some bad remarks). Till today i still remember how my 'lucky kick' got him in his mouth which caused him 3 sticthes in the mouth. I'm not regreting on kicking him as this is how the games go, but i just regreting for my behaviour.

After that day, i became a short period legend in Victoria Institution, that moment where everyone know who was the gold medalist for Bantam weight sparring event. There's no sportsmanship criterias in me. I learned from that lesson and walk the path in front of me. Since after that, i joined a lot of sparring and poomse events. I felt great as i became a good winner and good loser. I lost a lot of games but it don't really hurt or break me down as i do my best and i knew i tried to compete with my pride and honour. Definetely, NO cursing, NO yelling/ scolding and NO bad expression at your own teammate for their mistakes. Demoralizing isn't a true sportsmanship will do. A simple pat on their shoulder is more than enough. Don't mind...don't mind, this is not the end of the world. No one is perfect anyways.

How do we define as a sportsmanship? According to Wikipedia, sportsmanship is expresses an aspiration or ethos that the activity will be enjoyed by its own sake with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship with one's competitors. Being a "good sport" involves being a "good winner" as well as a "good loser" or else you become a "sore loser". For more details, please refer to www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/sportsmanship .

UNbounded Love

I read an article from the Star saying a man trying to safe her newly-wedded wife from drowning after both of them being swept away by a strong current. Unfortunately the man was pronounced dead when the paramedics arrived. Condolence to the victim's family and i hope well to all of you. I'm sure that this horrify incident will be forever engraved in this poor widow's heart. http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/11/7/nation/7380678&sec=nation

Some people say love are disaster and undependable while some people aren't. To my opinion love is a virtue emotion that create miracles. The pure emotion that born from the heart and soul will try to overcome the walls in within. Yet today, eventually myself is getting blur and in mist. I been asking myself what is love means to me. Maybe this is something norm to me when i think too much. Ya, is true, i'm the type of person who sometimes think too much; all the factors no matter major or minor as long i can think off will be factored into my considerations.

Sometimes happy-go-lucky perception should be applied to my life. However, end up people around me will see me as a dilly-dally person. I don't think i'm a happy-go-lucky person, i got no luck. Let's me amend the concept to happy-go-might no lucky...hahaha.

Nuisance

Sitting in my room doing nothing and recalled that i have a blog which i hardly visit since few months back. Thinking what to write here while scratching my head, then i remembered that i had dinner with my buddies last Friday. We had BBQ & steamboat buffet. The big clams about half the size of my fist peeing on the hot pan..sorry no photo taken for that... when all the laughter and enjoyment broke out with 2 jokers mate - Decker & Keith telling stories...brother, i diam-diam jadi tukang masak hot pan also kena goreng sekali... then i started to spilt out all those incidents happened during our college times which full with laughter, idiotic, happiness, and 'blood'...lol

Actually i never taught of writting this 'sweet memories', since Decker kept on 'perli' me on that day by saying... the conversation started as below.

Decker : Every morning when i reach my office, there are 2 websites that i will put it on. First, my company email...second gutteruncensored...

Rommel : Woi bro, i also do the same thing wor..

Me : I also check gutteruncensored, see any new interesting news on the website..

Rachel : What is gutteruncensored? Hamsap thing ar?

Decker : No lar, just the kepochi news only... (deck sure ar..kepochi news only ar...lol)

Rommel & Me : Hahaaha

Decker : Oh ya, i still got one more website that i visit daily...www.xanga.com/aesonone (in sarcastic manner)

Rommel : Ya hor.. i also forgot about that website...hahaha

So because of this conversation i would like to record down some hilarious incidents happened during our college time...which i can remember...hahaha

I know a cheap 'jing' or known as cheapskate buddy who wanted to cheat my 20cents..but plan failed...lol

I have a good buddy who lastime easily get mad and whacked someone forehead bleeding because of a 80 cents RULER...(but he never treated me so..he quite nice to me..except always bluff me)

I have a good buddy who kena whacked and his forehead bleeding...still saying "deck, ni zou mat yeh wor"...

I have a good buddy who played college football inter games together being boycotted because he taught he played like Beckham...and during one of the match after heavy rain poured where no team mates passing ball to him...he washed his boots at the muddy water on the field during the game... a genuine LEGEND...

Please identify this good buddies of mine...lol...i still have some in my mind which i lazy to record here...keke..please don't take serious about these...
